How eyebrow transplants are performed
It’s very important to work with an experienced hair transplant professional for eyebrow transplants, as the treatment requires an artistic eye and an understanding of how hair naturally flows. Because natural brow hairs “point” in different directions, the follicle has to be placed just right in order to get the best outcome.
Eyebrow hair transplant procedures are performed with the use of a mild oral sedation to ensure the procedure is as comfortable as possible. First, Dr. Halaas will take donor hairs from an area of the scalp where finer hair may be found, which she will graft onto the brows. By using ultra-fine hair grafts, the results will appear more natural, having the illusion of natural eyebrow hairs. Dr. Halaas will make tiny incisions where more hair is desired. She will then place the donor hairs one-by-one into these incisions, carefully implanting the hairs so they are embedded at a naturally growing angle. The procedure takes about 3-4 hours.
